Sterling Women: Female Silversmiths in the 17th Century

Celebrate Women’s History Month by learning about the surprising role women played as silversmiths during the 17th century in both England and America. Local personal property appraiser Carolyn Law will trace this long and remarkable history of women in silver, from entrepreneurs to artists, and cover the basics of defining and identifying sterling silver, coin silver, and silverplate by using examples from her personal collection.
