Gavin Coyle is a native of Derry, Northern Ireland, who combines traditional music from his homeland with original work that is both pop and folk music. An award winning artist, his music has been heard on radio, TV, and for audiences in the Chicagoland area.
The Hinckley Historical Society’s concert series features three different groups playing a variety of music for the community to keep alive the history of summer open-air concerts and to encourage youth to study music in school for life-long enjoyment. The Society recently sponsored a historic marker in Hinckley commemorating the Golden Age of Music when school bands attracted nearly half of the students to play in concerts, parades and festivals.
The Hinckley Community Building is located at 100 North Maple St., Hinckley, IL The audience is advised to bring their own lawn chairs.
