The 5K RUN/WALK will be held at The North 40, which is the official NIU Cross Country course located just north of Barsema Hall on the Northern Illinois University campus. Parking will be a breeze. Celebrate the launch of the NIU Cross Country and Football seasons. Food and beverages and more will follow the 5K right there at The North 40. Your registration includes a race T-shirt and more! Come, build a tradition with us and cheer on your Huskies! Proceeds support NIU Cross Country.
Nine (9) runners (the top three finishing students, women, and men) will each receive:
- Two (2) tickets to an NIU home football game
- A VIP tailgate package with complimentary food and beverage
- Field access pre-game
- Winners will receive their race award on the field during the game! How cool is that?!
THE TOP THREE in each category also receive:
- Best Time: $100
- Second Best Time: $50
- Third Best Time: $30
