Rooted for Good

Rooted for Good (formerly DeKalb County Community Gardens) is an innovative approach to end hunger and food insecurity in DeKalb County by providing access to fresh, local, sustainably grown organic vegetables for all who may be in need.

Since our founding, we have distributed more than 2 million pounds of food to people in need.

Our food, community, and job training programs combined make a real difference in the lives of tens of thousands of our neighbors right here in northern Illinois.
