NIU Athletics, Soccer and Track & Field Complex

The Soccer and Track & Field Complex at NIU in DeKalb is one of Illinois’ premier facilities, known for its spacious design and modern features. The eight-lane track, made from a durable synthetic “sandwich system,” withstands weather and is perfect for both training and competitions. The complex includes two large d-zones for simultaneous field and track events, with areas for high jump, pole vault, and jumping pits. A separate throws area south of the track features shot put rings, a hammer/discus ring, and a javelin runway, all designed to keep events running smoothly and efficiently.
