ELLWOOD HOUSE MUSEUM
The story of the Ellwood House reflects the central role of Isaac Ellwood in the development of the barbed wire industry in America. The magnificent estate is also a testimony to three generations of the Ellwood family whose tastes shaped the evolution of the house and grounds.
Guided tours of both the Ellwood Mansion and the Ellwood-Nehring House are available March – November. The Visitor Center houses two exhibits that are free to the public and open daily 12:30-4:30PM (closed Mondays).
Event rental is also available March to November in the Ellwood-Nehring House and the Hearthside Room in the visitor center. Both have a capacity up to 80.
