In 2026, the United States will mark 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and DeKalb County, Illinois, is proud to take part in this once-in-a-generation celebration. America 250 is an opportunity to reflect on our nation’s history while also honoring the people, places, and stories that have shaped our local communities.
