On Saturday, June 15th from 9 AM to noon, DeKalb & Sycamore Townships will host a drive-thru electronic and metal recycling event in the parking lot of Sycamore High School, located at 427 Spartan Trail in Sycamore. This event is open to the General Public; all are invited to participate. Examples of acceptable items include electric razors, curling irons, stoves, walkie-talkies, lawnmowers, bicycles, battery-operated children’s toys, computer equipment, printers, vacuums, washers & dryers, television sets, tablets, bread makers, coffee machines, outdoor grills, telephones, chargers, electric cables, stereos, power tools, clocks, hand tools and scrap metal. No households batteries, lightbulbs, or items containing Freon will be accepted. Appliances that have had the Freon drained will be accepted.
Volunteers will unload items from resident’s vehicles. Most items will be received at no charge; however, a fee will be assessed for all TVs and CRT Monitors.
