Chicago 1971

October 18 @ 5:00 pm 6:00 pm

In the summer of 1971, Kris Kristofferson played three nights at the Quiet Knight in Chicago. His opening act was Steve Goodman, whose original songs knocked Kristofferson’s socks off. “If you like my songs, you gotta hear John’s.” Goodman encouraged Kristofferson and his friends (improbably, actress Samantha Egger and crooner Paul Anka) to head up to the Earl of Old Town to see his best pal, John Prine. A few moments later, songwriting history was made.

John Ballantyne and his crew will transport audiences back to Chicago, 1971, and feature some of the best Prine/Goodman/Kristofferson tunes.
