Afton Forest Preserve Public Observing Event

The Northwest Suburban Astronomers is hosting this free event, offering a fantastic opportunity to explore the night sky and observe various telescopes. The group is welcoming and happy to share their knowledge with attendees.
If you plan to attend, please follow these guidelines. Bring a red flashlight to minimize disruption to your natural night vision.
There are three parking lots at the preserve. The second lot, on your right as you drive in, is reserved for astronomers setting up their telescopes, so please don’t park there. The first and third parking lots are available for visitors during this event. After parking, simply walk over to the observation area.
