NIU Community School of the Arts

Experience the arts at NIU! The NIU Community School of the Arts offers music, art, and theatre lessons, ensembles, and classes to people in the community. Now in its 25th year, the community school brings many of the most talented teachers in the region together with children, teens, and adults at all levels of ability. Teachers are NIU faculty and students, as well as community artists. As many as 400 people from more than 50 different cities and towns in the region come to NIU each semester to pursue their study of the arts. Scholarships for those in need are available.
