
We know HomeFree fans are getting excited for their sold-out Country Christmas Show at the Egyptian Theatre.
If you are lucky enough to have tickets, here are a few tips to make it a great night!
~ Get a hotel in DeKalb Co. – it’ll make getting to and from the Egyptian Theatre that much easier!
~ DeKalb Co. has great dining options, including many within walking distance of the Theatre. Come early, beat the traffic and have a great dinner!
~ If you’re just driving in for the concert, ARRIVE EARLY! The show is sold-out, there is going to be traffic getting into Downtown DeKalb. There is also no opener. Home Free will take the stage at 8pm.
~ How to avoid some of the traffic if you’re driving in on I-88:
- Use the Peace Road exit, go north on Peace Road and turn west on IL-38/Lincoln Hwy. This will take you to downtown DeKalb.
- If you’re taking the Annie Glidden Exit, make the first right and then turn left on 1st St. That will take you to downtown DeKalb.
~ How to avoid some of the traffic if you’re driving in from I-90:
- Take the IL-47 exit, go south to IL-64 west and to Annie Glidden south to IL-38/Lincoln Hwy. west. That will take you to downtown DeKalb.
- Or take the IL-47 exit, go south to IL-64 west to Schafer Rd south to IL-38/ Lincoln Hwy. east. That will take you to downtown DeKalb.
~ Parking information from the Egyptian Theatre:
There is a free parking lot operated by the City of DeKalb directly across the street from the theatre. There are three additional city parking lots within a one block radius of the theatre. In addition there is also parking on most streets surrounding the theatre.
All parking lots and street parking in Downtown DeKalb is FREE! Parking time restrictions will not be enforced except for limits 15 minutes and shorter.
~ Security:
