DESCRIPTION:Get Lost In Terror \n\n\n\nWhen the sun sets on the farm\, an eerie shadow is cast upon the maze inviting guests to explore the 10-acre labyrinth in our corn field. \n\n\n\nPathways twist and turn through miles of rustling leaves where terrifying creatures and spooky surprises are lurking behind the stalks. \n\n\n\nEnter if you dare… but BEWARE!Strongly recommended to purchase tickets beforehand!What You Need To Know \n\n\n\nAll children under the age of 16 need to be with an adult chaperone. Children are not permitted to enter the maze alone or without adult supervision. \n\n\n\nThe time on your ticket is your ENTRY TIME. For example\, if you select 6:30-7:30PM\, you need to redeem your tickets by 7:30PM or the tickets will no longer be valid. Last group in at 10:30PM\, then the entrance is closed. \n\n\n\nNo Halloween Masks or costumes are permitted in the maze\, sorry! \n\n\n\nGuests are ideally broken up into groups of 4-5 (or fewer) people and metered into the maze by our staff to keep groups separated. Come out\, bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket and have fun! \nAssemble your team and bring the whole family for a day of on-field action\, food\, and free entertainment. Featuring a 14+ soccer tournament and kid’s skills clinic as well as stage performances and community connections throughout the day. \n\nAdult Tournament\n\nTeams are guaranteed a minimum of three 25 minute games (6v6) Teams must have a minimum of six (6) and a maximum of ten (10) players. All team members must be 14 years or older. Tournament entry fee is $50 per teamMatching shirts required for each team\, pinnies provided in the event of conflict.Teams must register by July 1\, 2025 either online (below) or in-person until slots fill. \n\nKid’s Soccer Clinic\n\nAges 5-13\, free registration and t-shirt provided. SUMMARY:2025 DeKalb County Garden Walk
DESCRIPTION:Please join University of Illinois Extension Master Gardeners at their annual DeKalb County Garden Walk. This year’s event will include seven beautiful home gardens and one educational spotlight garden located in the DeKalb\, Sycamore and Genoa areas. Attendees visit the gardens at their own pace on a self-guided tour. Master Gardeners will be onsite at each garden to answer questions and give guidance. This is a rain or shine event; if rain is likely please dress for the weather and bring an umbrella with you. Please do not bring pets to the gardens. \n\n\n\nA wristband is required for each attendee (over 13 years old) to enter into the gardens and are available for purchase in person from Monday\, June 16 through 11:30 am on the day of the event (July 12th) from the following local vendors (cash or check): \n\n\n\nDeKalb County U of I Extension Office – 1350 W. DESCRIPTION:Come join Sycamore Park District’s beginner friendly 2-hour self-defense training seminar where NO Martial Arts experience is required. Self-defense training not only helps you protect yourself\, but others too. Plus\, training helps you become physically and emotionally fit. Having the ability to defend yourself increases your self-esteem and boosts your confidence. In this 2-hour course\, we will discuss and practice situational awareness\, practical self-defense techniques\, and role-playing exercises to increase reaction time. \nThis seminar is offered 4 times per season. While the basic idea of each seminar is the same\, a participant would benefit from attending multiple seminars and would be able to progress their learning. Friday\, September 20 from 5-7pm is the first class. The second offering is Saturday\, October 19 from 2-4pm. The third offering is Friday\, November 15 from 5-7pm and the 4th and final offering of the Fall season in on Saturday\, December 14 from 2-4pm. The price is $20 for Residents and $30 for Nonresidents.
