Free concerts from 6-8 p.m. are organized by the Hinckley Historical Society. \n\n\n\nThursday June 19\, the 40 piece Fox Valley Brass Band will provide a variety of traditional and contemporary brass music. The skilled volunteer musicians promote music enjoyment for all ages. \n\n\n\nThursday July 17\, Ann Stewart and the Banjo Buddies Dixieland Jazz Band provide a show of classic Dixieland Jazz and improvisations that keep the music fresh and entertaining. \n\n\n\nThursday August 21\, the Jazz in Progress 18-piece community band features classical jazz\, swing-era and favorites from across the decades. Soloists will add to their performance.

DESCRIPTION:Duo Dahlia combines the timeless instruments of flute and harp to bring audiences a rich aural soundscape of beautiful and unique timbres. Join the DeKalb Public Library in the library’s main lobby as they perform music from the Baroque\, Classical\, Romantic\, and 20th century eras\, and promote works by living composers. \nBased in the Chicagoland area\, Duo Dahlia has performed in various chamber recitals and competitions\, including performances affiliated with Epiphany Center for the Arts\, Northern Illinois University and Lake Geneva Symphony Orchestra. Each performance brings together the diverse solo careers of the members with historically informed performance practices. \nGianna Capobianco is a freelance flutist and teacher based in the Greater Chicagoland Area. She has a wide range of performing experience and has played in masterclasses for renowned flutists such as Jennifer Gunn\, Bonnie Boyd\, Marie Tachouet and Jennie Oh Brown. \nAbigail Stoner is a concert harpist and pianist in the Chicagoland area. Latin Swing Factor infuses every performance with Chicago soul and Puerto Rican swing for a truly unique experience. \n\n\n\nJuly 9 – Prairie Station \n\n\n\nA country music experience for the whole family! This band delivers everything from Johnny Cash classics to today’s hottest chart-toppers in a fun\, interactive show. \n\n\n\nJuly 16 – The Messengers – Rescheduled \n\n\n\nExpect the unexpected with mashups and medleys that span decades. The Messengers keep audiences singing and dancing with a mix of old-school favorites and current hits. \n\n\n\nJuly 23 – The Beaux Band \n\n\n\nA Rock & Roll tribute to the greats! From Tom Petty to ZZ Top\, this six-member band delivers classic rock hits with powerful vocals and unmatched energy. \n\n\n\nAugust 6 – The Messengers \n\n\n\nThe band’s extensive set list features sing-along favorites and unexpected medleys that blend classic hits with today’s current chart-toppers.
