SUMMARY:Good Time for All Festival - Fireworks at Dark
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a day full of music\, outdoor activities\, food\, fun\, and fireworks at the 2025 Good Time for All Festival! \n\n\n\nHinckley\, Illinois is a community with a rich history and a vibrant present. A beautiful mosaic mural was recently added to its downtown with the design and instruction of artist\, Danielle Casali. The mural showcases pieces of the farming town’s history and comes together with a quote in the middle: “… and a good time was had by all.” With the mural in mind\, the annual Hinckley Fireworks Festival has been rebranded as the Good Time for All Festival. The festival would not be possible without donations\, supporters\, and volunteers. \n\n\n\nLocated under 30 minutes from the DeKalb\, Elburn\, Aurora\, Yorkville\, and Batavia areas\, we hope you will make your way to Hinckley on June 28th for a good time!

SUMMARY:Annie's Story Time
DESCRIPTION:Story time will be held on the lawn of the Glidden Homestead\, 921 W. Lincoln Highway (next to Glidden Florist)\, and will be moved indoors if inclement weather. These programs are held monthly at 1 pm on the first Sunday of each month\, starting on May 4. \n\n\n\nThese interactive story times for children may feature songs\, movement and more. This event is free. No registration is required. \n\n\n\nAnnie’s Story Time is named for Joseph F. Glidden’s niece\, Annie Glidden\, who was a major promoter of DeKalb’s cultural and social causes during her lifetime. In 1898\, seeing the need to supply the recently formed DeKalb Public Library with good books\, Annie formed the Library Whist Club. On Monday afternoons\, this group of women came together to play the card game whist. Monies from their membership dues were used for library book purchases. To date\, the library has received over 10\,000 volumes from their activities.

Featuring a 14+ soccer tournament and kid’s skills clinic as well as stage performances and community connections throughout the day. \n\nAdult Tournament\n\nTeams are guaranteed a minimum of three 25 minute games (6v6) Teams must have a minimum of six (6) and a maximum of ten (10) players. All team members must be 14 years or older. Tournament entry fee is $50 per teamMatching shirts required for each team\, pinnies provided in the event of conflict.Teams must register by July 1\, 2025 either online (below) or in-person until slots fill. \n\nKid’s Soccer Clinic\n\nAges 5-13\, free registration and t-shirt provided. DESCRIPTION:Get Lost In Terror \n\n\n\nWhen the sun sets on the farm\, an eerie shadow is cast upon the maze inviting guests to explore the 10-acre labyrinth in our corn field. \n\n\n\nPathways twist and turn through miles of rustling leaves where terrifying creatures and spooky surprises are lurking behind the stalks. \n\n\n\nEnter if you dare… but BEWARE!Strongly recommended to purchase tickets beforehand!What You Need To Know \n\n\n\nAll children under the age of 16 need to be with an adult chaperone. Children are not permitted to enter the maze alone or without adult supervision. \n\n\n\nThe time on your ticket is your ENTRY TIME. For example\, if you select 6:30-7:30PM\, you need to redeem your tickets by 7:30PM or the tickets will no longer be valid. Last group in at 10:30PM\, then the entrance is closed. \n\n\n\nNo Halloween Masks or costumes are permitted in the maze\, sorry! \n\n\n\nGuests are ideally broken up into groups of 4-5 (or fewer) people and metered into the maze by our staff to keep groups separated. Large groups do not get as great of an experience! \n\n\n\nIt takes about 30-45 minutes to get through the maze\, and we have staff to help you if you get lost. \n\n\n\nNo Alcohol is permitted in the maze. \n\n\n\nFlashlights will not be allowed in the Haunted Maze\, only glowsticks or pen lights. \n\n\n\nOur Scare Actors are not permitted to touch guests\, and guests are not permitted to touch or hit Scare Actors\, or they will be asked to leave the maze. \n\n\n\nPlease be advised\, the haunted maze does contain strobe lights\, flashing lights\, loud noises\, and dirt pathways. \n\n\n\nUnlike other years\, this year the entire maze is Haunted. We will not have 1/2 un-haunted and 1/2 haunted.
