SUMMARY:AARP Smart Driver Course - Day 2
DESCRIPTION:The DeKalb Township will host an AARP Safe Driver Course at their facility on May 6th & 7th. This 8-hour AARP Smart Driver course (split into 2 four-hour days) teaches valuable defensive driving strategies and provides a refresher of the rules of the road. Participants may also qualify for a multi-year automobile insurance discount by completing the course. Space is limited and attendees must pre-register for the course by calling the DeKalb Township at 815-758-8282. The classroom course costs $20 for AARP Members and $25 for non-members. Financial Assistance is available to qualifying DeKalb Township residents who are unable to pay the course fee. All inquiries about this course can be directed to Kimberly Barrios\, Administrative & Communications Lead for the DeKalb Township.

DESCRIPTION:Bring your favorite mom to celebrate Mother’s Day a bit early by painting this sweet artwork. \n\n\n\nIncludes one pre-drawn 10” wood slice\, painting materials\, instruction\, one complementary glass of wine\, and fun! \n\n\n\nThe kitchen will be closed during this event but outside snacks and food are welcome! \n\n\n\nThis is beginner friendly\, no experience required. \n\n\n\nStarts promptly at 6pm\, with last call at 7:30pm. \n\n\n\nThis event is taught by Catherine Urban with Urban Art Studio and hosted by Prairie State Winery.
