Stone Soup Shakespeare presents The Taming of the Shrew at Huntley Park
Friday, May 31, 2019
Bring a picnic and enjoy Stone Soup Shakespeare’s rendition of the comedy Twelfth Night. When Viola and her twin brother Sebastian are separated in a ship wreck on the coast of Ilyria they must both make their way as best they can while disguises, romance, and music abounds!
Stone Soup Shakespeare brings professional Shakespeare productions and other theatrical experiences to communities for FREE. Their aim is first to approach Shakespeare’s writings as if they were new scripts, looking at them with fresh eyes and how they impact today’s audience.
This program is open to all, no registration required! It will be held at the Huntley Park on 2nd and Garden Street. Families are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and folding chairs to make themselves comfortable. In the case of inclement weather, the program will be held in the Yusunas Meeting Room at the DeKalb Public Library.
This program is held in conjunction with the DeKalb Park District.
There will be a donation box out leading up to and during the event. If you’d like to see more programs of this nature held at the library, please consider making a contribution!
