American Sign Language Workshop

Tuesday, July 23, 2019

6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

American Sign Language was officially recognized as a language in 1960, but has been used for many MANY years (prior to 1800’s)! This visual language is fun and interesting to learn AND it has a rich culture attached to it. Join us to learn some of the basics (such as ABCs, colors, numbers) from an ASL Instructor from Northern Illinois University, who also is a member of the Deaf community.

This event is FREE and open to anyone ages 15+.
