The Kishwaukee Sunrise Rotary Club is hosting an inaugural event, “Trucktoberfest” on Sunday, September 24 at Faranda’s Banquet Center, 302 Grove Street in DeKalb from 12:00 noon – 4:00 pm. This family-friendly event will feature a variety of food trucks along with fun kids activities including a large Bouncy House, face painting, music, and more held outside in Faranda’s parking lot. An additional Beer Garden/Wine Tasting will be available for adults to sample a variety of products from local distilleries and vineyards inside Faranda’s Banquet facility.
Kishwaukee Rotary Club created an annual Community Grant for Children, Youth and Families in DeKalb County. Kishwaukee Sunrise Rotary awarded its inaugural grant to DeKalb County Community Gardens and DeKalb County Youth Service Bureau; proceeds from “Trucktober Fest” will support this year’s grant recipients.
Admission for “Trucktober Fest” is $5.00 per person, or a maximum of $20.00 for families, that will be collected upon entrance the day of the event. There is an additional $5.00 entry fee to enter the Beer Garden/Wine Tasting inside Faranda’s. All funds go directly to DeKalb County Youth Service Bureau and DeKalb County Community Gardens.
Hosted by Kishwaukee Rotary Club, everyone in our community is invited to attend this family-friendly event! What a great opportunity to support your community and make a difference….and have fun doing it!
