11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Are you a lover of all things related to pop culture? TV addict? Movie aficionado? Comic book collector? Dress up in your cosplay best and join us for DeKalb Public Library’s first annual Pop-Con: a celebration of pop culture! From 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM we’ll have sessions for children, teens, and adults.

Kids can take part in the Superhero Training Academy or have fun fixing up our dolls’ boo-boos while teens and adults can belt out songs from Hamilton or talk to real graphic novel authors. If you dress up, you can participate in our costume parade and contest.

We’ll cap off the day with a session about the first female Doctor Who with Paul Booth, an associate professor of Media and Cinema Studies at DePaul University.

This program is entirely FREE and is intended for all ages. Everyone is welcome! No registration is required.

For additional information visit the event page or please contact Britta at brittak@dkpl.org or at (815) 756-9568 ext. 2100.
