Lunch at the Little House
Saturday, May 19, 2018
Children of all ages and their families are invited to the Ellwood House Museum from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to visit the 1891 Victorian playhouse, enjoyed by generations of Ellwood children and DeKalb residents. Try your hand at churning your own ice cream, and play reproductions of nineteenth-century games and toys.
Participants are encouraged to bring a lunch to eat on the grounds of Ellwood Park. In the event of bad weather, the program will be moved indoors to the Hearthside Room in the Visitor Center. The program is free and registration is not required.
“Ellwood Explorers” includes six free education programs for families, culminating with the Ellwood Summer Festival on August 5. Ellwood Explorers programs are generously supported by the Cy Miller Foundation.
The Ellwood House Museum is located at 509 N. First Street in DeKalb.
