Searching through old newspapers can be difficult. If you don’t have an exact date, using microfilm is tedious and time-consuming, and the quality of the image isn’t always great. Finding hard copies of old newspapers is almost impossible because they degrade so quickly.
Join us to learn about the library’s new database, Newspapers.com. Newspapers.com is the largest online newspaper archive consisting of over 514 million pages of historical newspapers from 12,100+ newspapers from around the United States and beyond. This includes the Daily Chronicle from 1895 through 1963. Learn how to browse these newspapers and search them for information specific to your genealogy interests. Feel free to bring your own laptop to follow along with the presentation.
This program is FREE and does not require registration.
