DeKalb Public Library St. Patrick’s Day Party
Saturday, March 17, 2018
Not every holiday menu comes with health in mind. St. Patrick’s Day usually involves a lot of delicious food that doesn’t take into account modern dietary needs. But it doesn’t need to be that way! Irish recipes often call for whole foods and healthy ingredients.
Join us at the DeKalb Public Library for a St. Patrick’s Day feast with some new twists on old classics. Try out a lighter version of colcannon, or a meatless shepherd’s pie and get recipes and tips for reducing fat and salt in your everyday cooking. Everyone is welcome!
This program is FREE and requires no registration. It is part of the “A Healthy Mind, in a Healthy Body” initiative between the DeKalb Public Library and the DeKalb Kiwanis Club. Remember, we have a limited amount of food, so come early to get your meal.
For additional information, visit the event page, or contact Samantha at firstname.lastname@example.org or at (815) 756-9568 ext. 1701.
